Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Best Mexican restaurant in White House, Tennessee. Warning!!! If you are going to go, go early very small place and very busy. All the food is great and very fast service. I recommend the Molcajete with steak, chicken and shrimp and spicy sauce.

Upon first entry the place was genuinely clean and modern. I was seated immediately. It wasn't busy and I just made the lunch cutoff it was 14h30 and they stop serving lunch at 15h Immediate attention by the server. And I made the quick decision to have huevos on chorizo. The chips were hot and fresh. The food was delicious. And I was generally left alone except to refill my water. Really friendly and good all around.

The location is what originally drew us in to this Mexican food chain, but then there were great reviews. I'm happy to report that the reviews are accurate! The food was great, the guac. was fresh and the service was wonderful. The only thing I can complain about is the chips, they were a little stale. That being said it was worth the stop.

This place is bland. The food doesn't really taste like Mexican food with all the spices that it's known for. The environment is nice and the staff was great but I like more spice in my Mexican food

For the most part they are great! I like when I order, the guy can speak English and understands me. Unlike, in Nashville, you have to keep repeating yourself. Lol They give you plenty to drink and the food is always great! I always tip them even tho I order to pick up. They did forget my extra flour tortillas. That rubbed me the wrong way. I told them, tipped them and wouldn't have mind to pay for them. Lol

Went there Saturday night with a group of ten. Had been there for lunch and thought it was sub-par. But that's where the group wanted to go. After deliberating, I ordered the Carne Asada and told the server I wanted it medium rare. When it served, the steak was plentiful, but it was barely edible. I didn't was to make a scene so I barely choked down a small piece and took the rest home. The meat looked like it was cut from a leather saddle. It was the positively worst thing I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant.......the absolute worst. I will never go here again. You too should go elsewhere. They pack in plenty of customers but this food simply is terrible. Carne Asada is a Mexican specialty dish. They killed it dead ten times over.

After a long 8 hour drive we checked into our motel in White House. Tired and hungry we wanted someplace close and good. The desk clerk recommended Los Agaves. Such a good choice! We are from Texas and are picky about our Mexican food. Couldn't have been more pleased! Started with frozen margaritas and Dos Equis beer-both very good. Extensive menu- had the shrimp quesadillas with rice, guacamole and sour cream, and the chicken tacos. My husband ordered corn tortillas, but the platter had flour. He mentioned this to the manager who went back to the kitchen, brought two more tacos on corn tortillas (no charge) and sat at our table and talked about Mexican cooking! What a fun evening and great customer service. Highly recommend this place.

Tastes great and the fastest sit-down service I've ever had. Seriously took 5 to 10 minutes between ordering our food and being served. Amazing.

From one Yankees perspective this was a good Mexican treat on our journey to the south. Salsa tended to be a little bit garlicky and salty. Overall it was great.

Great margaritas - they are homemade (I believe) and not from a mix. They are tasty and strong, and not the cloying sweetness you get with a mix. We went with kids, and they provide quick service for hungry kids to keep both kids and parents happy. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. They have a lot of grilled items on the menu and lots of fresh Mexican options, not just your usual sloppy plates of cheese and beans and rice. Good option if you're up on this side of Middle Tennessee where there aren't too many good options!

Great food and I have always had excellent service. The chicken alambre is great and it has bacon in it. Bacon makes everything better!

First time customer. We're an AAU basketball team that walked in with a group of 18 people. They seated us with no problem a little before noon. Service was excellent and food was delish! Will come back here whenever I'm in this area.

We are regulars at this place . Chips are usually warm and are not too thin . I think the salsa is flavorful . I always get chicken fajitas . They are well seasoned and juicy . My favorite is their rice ! Some places Mexican rice is dried and flavorless. Their rice is moist and flavorful. They have a very friendly staff and always chat with my kids . We love this place !

Great.

My family and I eat here almost every week, sometimes twice a week. It's always good friendly service. LOVE the molcajete, shrimp tacos, and hawaiian fajitas. My husband and I usually split a single order because the servings are so generous. Excellent salsa too!

Awesome fajitas! Great customer service! Yummy margaritas! Fun place for happy hour or night out on Fri or Sat night. Downfall--don't know how to make chicken and cheese quesadillas. If you don't order a menu item as is, don't expect a lot b/c it confuses them.

The road to Nashville from the north makes this a regular stop for me when headed there. Very good chips and salsa and good Mexican food every time. A little tough finding and getting there when you go looking for it, but it is worth the find.

Very good. 12oz. margarita special (lime only) $3.75. Very good. Food was good and plentiful. Leftovers equaled 3 meals. Will definitely be going back.

Whitehouse Tennessee seems a strange place to go south of the border but boy was it worth it! Margaretas of 28 oz are wonderful for 5.00. Having just left New Orleans where our drinks were 11.00 this was a wonderful surprise. My wife and I ordered the fajitas Hawaiians, omg!For 19.50 we had a double order for two. The order came with the usual pico, cheese beans sour cream etc. The fajitas were on a hot iron plate set into a wooden holder. THERE BEFORE OUR EYES STOOD A STEAMING PLATTER OF GRILLED ONIONS ,HAM LARGE SHRIMP,ROSETTES OF FRIED BACON,GRILLED STEAK GRILLED CHICKEN AND PEPPERS EACH GRILLED TO PERFECTION! The food we ordered would easily feed four people!. Oh I forgot the grilled pineapple mixed in. Our two friends helped us and we still had a pile of food left unbeaten. This Mexican meal was as good as it gets and equaled our New Orleans best. I just wished it wasn't 400miles from home. On second thought I'm glad it is!
